Saburi ka Fal Meetha Hota Hai: Sai Katha

One of the most famous and beautiful phrases spoken by Shirdi Sai Baba to his children is: 'Saburi ka fal meetha hota hai' (The fruit of patience is always sweet). While it is very easy to pray when everything is going perfectly according to our plans, the real test of a true devotee happens when life hits a massive roadblock. Let us look at a beautiful real story from Shirdi that shows why maintaining steady patience is your absolute best tool during a crisis.

The Story of the Anxious Father from Bombay

A wealthy businessman from Bombay once traveled to Shirdi because his young son was suffering from a dangerous, non-stop fever. He had spent large amounts of money on top city doctors, but nothing was working. He arrived at the old Dwarkamai mosque, fell at Baba's feet, and begged, 'Baba, please cure my son immediately! I cannot bear to see him in pain any longer.' He expected Baba to give him a magical root or perform a quick miracle right that second.

The Master's Advice: Sit Quietly and Wait

Instead of doing something dramatic, Baba simply smiled, looked into the father's anxious eyes, and said, 'Go back to your lodging house, sit quietly, and maintain Saburi (patience). Do not hurry.' The father became highly frustrated and angry, thinking Baba did not care about his pain. But a senior disciple stopped him and explained: 'When the master asks you to wait, he is already handling the root of the problem. Do not let your mind panic.' The father took a deep breath, dropped his stubborn pride, and spent three days quietly helping in the temple kitchen.

The Sweet Reward of Trusting the Perfect Time

On the fourth morning, a telegram arrived from Bombay stating that the boy's fever had broken completely at the exact hour the father had dropped his anger and accepted Saburi. This wonderful story teaches us that Baba always knows the perfect time to open the gates of success for us. When your family is facing a tough time, do not lose your temper or get bitter. Keep doing your daily tasks honestly, maintain steady patience, and watch how beautifully Baba fixes everything for you.
